When are native vertical tree tabs coming?

Hi, I saw something awhile back indicating that there were plans to integrate vertical tree tabs natively in Waterfox (as opposed to the extension-based approach they are built on currently). I'm having trouble finding the original source for this, but if it is true, do we have any insight as to when this feature/improvement is planned for?

I've got a working branch, will be available with the release of the next big rebase, likely 6.7.0-alpha.

I see the new tree tabs are live in "future" branch; can't wait to test them out!! <3
