What's New?

We've been hard at work to provide a bunch of utility, tweaks and fixes to the experience! - An SDK UI overhaul, an array of in-game Action Menu fixes, a patch to keep your spring-bones nice and springy during animations and a freeze fix!

Warning

Avatars made with versions lower than 2.0.0 of the SDK may not display animations on clients that don't have the updated version of the plugin! Vice versa older newer versions of the mod may not display animations on clients running an older version of the plugin either.

Features

SDK Action Menu & Parameter UI overhaul

Both the action menu item- and the action menu parameter lists have been turned into reorderable lists so you can drag their order around. This UI overhaul also includes strict-type input so you won't make mistakes with your inputs.

Convert Animator parameters to the Action Menu parameters

You can now transfer parameters that you have setup for your avatar from your animator to the ValheimAvatarDescriptor. Useful if you already have an animator setup for your avatar!

Parameter saving

your avatars should now retain their parameter states between sessions. The parameters will be saved in a .txt file within the PlayerModels folder!

Player movement in action menu

Action menu now allows player movement while it's open.

Animated SpringBones

Springbones now remain active during animations.

Patches!

Loading player models no longer freezes the game

Loading a custom player model used to freeze up the game depending on the file size of those avatars due to them not being loaded in asynchronously.

Action menu toggles now reflect their value properly

Action menu toggles now only show up as active when the parameter they change is equal to the value attached to the checkbox. Previously any value above 1 would show every toggle as active which was unintended behavior.

Action menu buttons are now held inputs

Pressing buttons now sets the value of your parameter to the button's attached value and and resets the value to the default value on release. Previously they would act as triggers, but not fire most of the time, presumably due to an update issue.

Action Menu now toggles on hotkey

Prior, the action menu hotkey would only enable the action menu.

Chat prevents action menu toggling

The action menu hotkey doesn't toggle the action menu anymore while the chat menu is open.

Action menu alignment fix

The action menu items used to not be aligned properly, creating inconsistencies between action menu items.

Action menu vertical slider fix

The vertical slider in the action menu used to break on scrolling due to a micro-optimization which was, in most cases, irrelevant.

Dev pipeline related changes

Fixed SDK build

The SDK couldn't be built prior and the built .dll file now works as intended.
