[BUG] "SearchPreferenceFragment" does not support edge-to-edge (required for Android SDK 35+)

The "SearchPreferenceFragment" uses XML Views and it isn't configured to support edge-to-edge. This means that if you are using this library and targeting an Android SDK version of 35+, you will see the "SearchPreferenceFragment" drawn behind your system bars like so:

Hmm, this sounds like you are using the library differently to other users. There are several apps that target Android 35 and do not have the search bar cut off because they handle the system bar insets outside of the search fragment. Simply adding fitsSystemWindows might break the layout for those users because it would add the padding twice.

I'll look more into this. We definitely don't want to introduce something that will break things.

I see that you have the "android:fitsSystemWindows=true" attribute for "toolbar_activity.xml" in your AntennaPod repo to handle this. I have a similar setup except I'm not using a MaterialToolbar defined in my XML file like you are. I'll look into this more. Thank you for the quick reply. You can close this after a week if I still don't have anything more on this.
