CrocoDash is in a state of constant development! The newest release may not have all the newest features. To keep an eye on minor feature updates and other cool things being committed to main, if you'd like to use pre-release CrocoDash, see here!

Uh-Oh! 🚨🚨New commit alert!!🚨🚨
#154 and #147 were merged in ef1106d:

Changes you'll see:

1. A huge restructuring under the hood! The large data workflow is now called extract_forcings. The fill is slightly different.
2. It also should be a bit easier to use CESM Output (now renamed to MOM6_Output) without MARBL. You call it the exact same way as you used to for BGC, but now it adds in the MARBL stuff only if BGC is in the compset!
3. You need to regenerate the environment! We now lightly use pint for unit conversion!

What changed:

1. There used to be one workflow to generate glorys forcings and one workflow for cesm forcings, those are now merged with edits to regional_mom6 & CrocoDash.
2. We fixed the fact that accessing CESM data wasn't part of the raw_data_access module. It's now integrated!

Warnings: The MARBL part of CrocoDash is not validated in this new one-workflow process, but should be fairly close!

Minor bug fix was pushed after this commit!

Bug Fix Alert🚨🚨!! #166

Runoff now works correctly! Alper Altuntas created a new stage in VisualCaseGen to accomodate runoff mapping, and pushed the corresponding changes to VisualCaseGen!

You can also expect slightly different case init output and enhanced argument checking!

You can now pull a regional_mom6 experiment out of a CrocoDash case with case.expt. Be careful with what you use it for!

Major behind-the-scenes restructure!! 🚨🚨

The raw data access module (https://crocodile-cesm.github.io/CrocoDash/datasets.html) was refactored into OOP to enhance extensibility and validation! Go crazy! Plug in your own products into the module! The module now makes sure it's structured right! (Documentation coming in the version release)

🚨WEE-WOO🚨 #173 was merged!

Major Restructure of case.process_forcings and extract_forcings!! ALL NEW Offline Heavy Computation🥳🎉! All forcing configuration processing (i.e. case.process_forcings) is handled in the extract_forcings workflow now!! Check out the docs:

You now have some much-needed flexibility! Don't run case.process_forcings if you don't want to! Just run the extract_forcings driver from the command line!

HUGE mom6_bathy UPDATE FOLKS🚨🚨!!!!🎉🥳🤯

We just merged in two major mom6_bathy updates (The grid generation package underneath CrocoDash).

mom6_bathy ate regional_mom6's grid generation and midas's(previous default) grid generation!! Both of these package grid generations are now in mom6_bathy!

1. You can now take advantage of regional_mom6s way of generating grids: https://github.com/NCAR/mom6_bathy/blob/cc9c76fce21404af910a5c8980354353be346366/mom6_bathy/_supergrid.py#L7 (The other grid option is default through midas and what was there before)
2. BREAKING CHANGE: Instead of using CrocoDash interpolate_from_file you can use set_from_dataset, which is the same function

mom6_bathy has interactive editors and git-based topo editing!! We can use those!!

1. You can now create horizontal and vertical grids through a UI!
2. You now have git-based history for topo editing! Make those edits without fear! You should see a "TopoLibrary" folder appear in your working directory!

🚨🚨WW3 in the House!!🚨🚨 (And a new CESM)

Interested in running with WW3? Add it to your compset! OBCs for WW3 are a work in progress but you can run WW3 in your domain!

As part of this change, we are using a new branch of CESM! We are getting ever closer to merging CROCODILE changes into CESM3 (soon enough we won't need a seperate fork of the CESM for Crocodile!)

To use the newest CrocoDash, please use this newer version of CESM (branch full_regional_cesm).

There are a host of minor BGC changes in this PR to accommodate the new CESM.
