2. Adding new customer to the cloud

1.1. Related Customer Information

  • Customer Name: USO
  • Requirements:
    • HDD Storage
    • Normal CPUs
  • Quotas:
    • CPU: 10
    • Memory RAM: 32G
    • HDD Storage: 100G
    • Public IPs: 1
  • Group Admin: test_admin_cloud_uso

1.2. Creating new group

Create a group for the new customer:

Specify its name:

Select the following views:

Leave the following unmodified:

Uncheck all permissions:

Leave the following unmodified and complete de creation of the group:

Update the new created group:

Define CUSTOMER_GROUP_DN as new attribute and specify its value:

Each new group is added by default to the DVC default. It is required to remove the new group from this VDC.

Update VDC default:

Uncheck the new created group, from the select menu, to remove it from the current VDC:

Apply changes:

1.3. Creating new VDC

Each new customer will have its own group and this group will belong to a new VDC with same name as the group.

Create new VDC:

Specify its name:

Select the new created group that will be part of this VDC:

Leave the following unmodified:

Following with the customer's requirements, it will be selected only the hosts with normal CPU:

By default, the VNet Client Network is available for everyone in the cloud:

Following with the customer's requirements, it will be selected only the HDD storage backend:

Once created the VDC, it should be available from the VDC list:

Check the new ACLs created for the new VDC:

Previous ACLs are not enough, so it is required to create new ACL to complete all permissions for the new customer:

Create the ACL as shown in the following picture. This will allow client to create all these resources on the given zone, for the given group:

Once created the new ACL, it looks like follow:

1.4. Adding quotas

Even if each new customer will have its own VDC, each of those VDC rely on shared hardware. Each VDC with its own customer's group, will have quotas from the available cloud resources.

Set quotas for the new created group:
