dxf exporting view

Hi,
when trying to export an extruded profile in dxf I always get the profile view but I would like to export a side-view, only way I found was to export in step and re-import...

You can section your part on different planes and then export them to DXF like this:

import cadquery as cq

test_object = cq.Solid.makeCone(50, 80, 100, pnt=cq.Vector(0, 0, -50))
dxf_xy = cq.Workplane("XY").add(test_object).section()
dxf_xz = cq.Workplane("XZ").add(test_object).section()
cq.exporters.export(dxf_xy, "dxf_xy.dxf")
cq.exporters.export(dxf_xz, "dxf_xz.dxf")

One DXF file shows a trapezoid while the other is a circle.
