The hash-generator helps you hash text and files using popular algorithms like MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512. It also offers HMAC signing and checksum verificationβall on your device. No internet connection is required for these processes.
To begin using the hash-generator, youβll need to download the application. Follow the steps below to get started.
Go to our Releases page to access the latest version.
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.15 or later, or a modern Linux distribution.
- RAM: Minimum 2 GB.
- Disk Space: At least 100 MB free.
- Multiple Hash Algorithms: Generate hashes using MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512.
- HMAC Signing: Secure your data with HMAC for integrity checks.
- Checksum Verification: Verify your downloaded files easily.
- Client-Side Only: No need for an internet connection.
-
Download the Application: Visit our Releases page and select the version compatible with your operating system.
-
Install the Application:
- Windows: Double-click the downloaded
.exefile and follow the prompts to install. - macOS: Open the

- Windows: Double-click the downloaded
-
Run the Application: After installation, find the application in your programs list or applications folder and open it.
-
Open the Application: Start hash-generator from your computer.
-
Input Your Data: You can enter text directly or upload files for hashing.
-
Select Hash Type: Choose from the available hashing options (MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, etc.) and click "Generate".
-
View Results: The generated hash will be displayed. You can copy and use this value as needed.
-
Verify Checksums: To check a file's integrity, upload the file and provide the expected hash value. The application will let you know if they match.
- If you encounter issues while installing, ensure your operating system meets the requirements.
- If the application fails to open, reboot your device and try again.
