The current build is choking on linkchecking a DOI, so I go ahead and merge this as it fixes the problems we had for GH and ivoa, and I don't see the DOI issue locally (--> there is a chance it will actually work from GHA during the deployment step) |

Reverts #272 as upstream server is back online.
It also adds a temp ignore for GH links as currently those are blocking all the testing and deployments. More context in #277
