Wiki-RC1.18 — Reconcile with RC3.02
RC3.02 shipped three changes that invalidated wiki content:
- "Disable unnecessary processes" no longer disables lightdm on the
Just Faster paths. It was the stock display manager, so answering yes
blanked the stock touchscreen on exactly the two install paths that
advertise keeping it. Removed lightdm from the disabled-services list,
explained the BunnyBox exception, and documented the RC3.01-and-earlier
recovery (systemctl enable --now lightdm) for anyone already hit.
- Revert to Backup is now blocked on 01.01.02+ firmware, where it ran
the mutating repair path and forced graphical.target over that
layout's stock multi-user.target. Documented the block, the reason,
and Testing option 2 as the recovery route, including the manual
qidi-client re-enable it does not cover.
- Version references RC3.01 -> RC3.02 (menu preview, aoi.ini example).
Menu preview re-diffed against draw_menu(): RC3.02's alignment fix
brought the script into line with what the preview already showed, so
only the version string changed.
Wiki-RC1.17 — accuracy audit fixes: backup path, SSH user, Mainsail option 7, RC3.01
Corrects the wiki against Q2/aio_menu.sh. Findings where the code (not the
wiki) is wrong are deliberately left alone pending the code fix.
CRITICAL
- Backups: replace the ~/mudstockbackups/ + _FIRST_STOCK claim with the real
single fixed snapshot at ~/aio_config_backup/; note revert refuses to run if
it is missing. (FAQ, Install Guide, Troubleshooting)
- SSH login user on 01.01.02+ is mks/makerbase, not qidi; /home/mks is a
symlink to /home/qidi. Removed all "use qidi instead" instructions.
MAJOR
- Mainsail is option 7; option 6 is Uninstall Mainsail. (Install Guide, BunnyBox)
- Revert does not restart Klipper — run FIRMWARE_RESTART yourself.
- Addons 4 and 7 are blocked on 01.01.02+ firmware.
- Document the Testing submenu (option 10), incl. its two destructive entries.
- Document Uninstall Mainsail (6) and About (8).
- BunnyBox: the install stops mid-run for an at-the-printer HelixScreen wizard;
warn before starting and explain the degraded-dashboard failure mode.
- BunnyBox: the screen switches to HelixScreen during the install, not after
the FIRMWARE_RESTART.
- Just Faster Box: the file to edit on the printer is gcode_macro.cfg.
- G32 is a one-print toggle — PRINT_END runs G31 at the end of every print.
- aoi.ini example refreshed to RC3.01.
MINOR
- Menu preview version RC3.00 -> RC3.01; menu layout itself unchanged.
- Health Check also covers runtime service health and backs up before repair.
- bluetoothd -> bluetooth, strongswan -> strongswan-starter; only packagekit,
QIDILink-client and the pulseaudio user units are masked.
- print_end lowers the bed to 5 mm above the bottom, not "all the way down".
- Process optimization is prompted, not automatic.
- Screw_Tilt_adjust button ships with Just Faster Printer only.
- Orca download unpinned from v2.3.2; fan calibration requires
[fan_generic cooling_fan]; OctoApp PRINTER_IP line is already uncommented
(asset comment corrected to match).
New documentation
- Getting Started: the repo's 8 Orca printer presets.
- Install Guide: camera streaming (ustreamer + nginx proxy) and its prompts.
- BunnyBox: the Upgrade / Fresh install / Cancel re-install choice and the
stale-artifact cleanup prompt.
- Just Faster: the JFB-over-BunnyBox incompatibility warning.
_Sidebar: drop the broken [History](_claude/HANDOFF) link, which 404'd on
every page; add the Plugins sub-pages for parity with Home.
Discord invite aligned with README.md (d8vxTZa7sU) — owner to confirm.
Wiki-RC1.16 — Section 4 redirect, after-install content, Max4 removed
Replaces Q2-Install-Guide.md's inline "Section 4 — After Install" with
redirects to Q2-JustFaster.md and Q2-BunnyBox-HelixScreen.md, which
gain the after-install steps (including MMU gear calibration and the
RC3.00 process-optimization prompt) plus a "What is done" summary.
Fixes stale "option 8 — Health Check" references (moved to option 9)
in Q2-FAQ.md and Q2-Troubleshooting.md, repoints the MMU-calibration
link at the new anchor, fixes .md-extension internal links in
Getting-Started.md (W003), and adds a Q2-FAQ entry for the
"disable unnecessary processes" install prompt.
Removes Max 4 entirely to match the main repo: deletes the four
Max4-*.md pages and de-references Max4 from Home.md, _Sidebar.md,
SSH-Guide.md (reworded by firmware instead of printer model), and
Filament-Config.md.
Wiki-RC1.11 — AOI menu and feature updates (RC2.51–RC2.55)
- Q2-Install-Guide.md: updated menu to RC2.55 layout, F) → 10), replaced Section 5 (Idle Fan removed, Update Macros added), Revert option 4 → 5
- Q2-Troubleshooting.md: HelixScreen black screen entry updated with auto-restart detail
- Q2-FAQ.md: added Update Macros and aoi.ini FAQ entries
- Home.md: bumped WIKI_VERSION to Wiki-RC1.11
- _claude/HANDOFF.md: added Wiki-RC1.11 session entry
