• CarviWings_2026.09.2_x64-setup.exe — the installer. It installs
  for you rather than for the whole machine, so Windows does not ask for an
  administrator, and it puts CarviWings in the Start menu.
• CarviWings_2026.09.2_x64-portable.exe — the same game in a single
  file. Nothing is installed: put it where you like and run it.

64-bit Windows 10 or 11. The simulator draws with Microsoft's WebView2
runtime, which Windows 11 already has and the installer fetches if it is
missing. Windows may warn that the publisher is unknown — the executables
are not code-signed.

Before the first flight

CarviWings asks for a Cesium ion access token when it first starts. It is
free, it takes about a minute, and it is what streams the real terrain and
imagery the simulator flies over: https://ion.cesium.com/tokens. It is
remembered afterwards.
