Implaced 0.1.0 Preview for Windows
Pre-releaseImplaced 0.1.0 Preview for Windows
This is the first public preview of Implaced, a Rust-built AI software engineering workspace for real projects, local files, specialist agents, provider choice, reviewable changes, and evidence-first recovery.
The goal of this release is simple: put Implaced in the hands of early users, test it against real codebases, and keep improving the product from real workspace feedback.
What is included
Native Windows workspace
Implaced ships as a Windows desktop app built on Tauri with a Rust foundation. The app is designed around the machine where your code already lives, with local project access, file navigation, editor surfaces, terminal output, browser preview, and workspace state inside one product frame.
Local-first project flow
Open a real project and work from the codebase on your machine. Implaced is built to keep project context, chats, files, generated artifacts, and review surfaces close to the workspace instead of turning every task into a detached prompt.
Specialist Personas
Implaced includes a specialist agent system. Principal, Fullstack, Systems, Verifier, Fixer, RepoOps, SecOps, Ops, and OSOps each have a clearer lane, so planning, building, verification, repair, repository work, security review, operations, and computer-use tasks do not all collapse into one generic assistant.
Provider setup and model routes
The preview supports configurable provider routes, including OpenRouter, Vercel AI Gateway, IYH, and FreeModel. Provider setup is part of the product, not a hidden setup step, so users can choose the route that fits their work, cost, and risk tolerance.
Control Center
Control Center brings the serious settings into one place: provider configuration, usage visibility, model routing, Personas, protocols, runtime options, connected tools, support, manual, shortcuts, and workspace-level controls.
Protocols
Implaced includes Engineer Protocols for reusable rules and team preferences. Protocols are designed for things like coding standards, review behavior, repo rules, project expectations, verification discipline, and workflow style.
Reviewable work
Agent output is built around review. File changes, generated artifacts, command output, verification notes, and recovery paths are meant to stay visible so users can inspect the work before trusting it.
Runtime and toolchain foundation
This preview includes the early runtime/toolchain layer behind Implaced: command execution, workspace artifact handling, repository context, cloud runtime scaffolding, verification tools, and the groundwork for stronger isolated execution.
Agent Computer foundation
Implaced includes the foundation for owned browser, Electron, and desktop sessions through the Agent Computer system. This is the beginning of giving agents a dedicated operating surface when code alone is not enough.
Built-in Support
Support is part of the product. Users can report app issues, setup problems, provider failures, and runtime behavior from inside Implaced, with support for screenshots, logs, and workspace-aware diagnosis.
Announcements and onboarding
The preview includes first-run onboarding, launch guidance, and in-app announcements so users can understand setup expectations, release notes, fixes, and product updates without leaving the workspace.
Preview notes
This is a preview build. Some flows may still change as the product matures.
Windows is the first supported platform.
The installer may trigger browser or Windows warnings while the preview distribution matures. Only download Implaced from the official release page.
If something breaks, feels unclear, or behaves differently than expected, please report it through Support or Discord with the exact state, screenshot, or logs when useful.
