COLTrack-VFX v1.0.0

First stable release of COLTrack-VFX

COLTrack-VFX is a simple, portable VFX camera tracking tool for Blender.
It uses COLMAP to perform camera tracking and provides an easy way to bring
the resulting track into Blender.

This is the first stable release of COLTrack-VFX and is ready for general use.

• Accurate camera tracking with minimal sliding.

• Custom Blender 5.2 importer script.
• Automatic scene alignment/normalization.
• Portable and self-contained.
• Python, FFmpeg, and COLMAP bundled with the tracker.
• COLMAP 4.1.1 no-CUDA (CPU-only) included for compatibility.
• No separate dependency installation required.

Blender Compatibility

• Tested with Blender 5.2 LTS.
• Should work with regular Blender 5.2.
• Older Blender versions are not guaranteed.

Important Notes

Tracking quality depends heavily on the footage.

Footage with good parallax, such as camera movement around the subject,
generally produces better results. Footage with little or no parallax may
produce poor or unusable tracking data.

Known Limitations

• The included Blender importer is designed for Blender 5.2.
• JSON output may be usable in other software, but the importer may need
  to be modified.
• Older Blender versions have not been tested.
