ETA for iOS

Is there an ETA on an iOS client? I want to be able to set the resolution from the client side and Apollo seems to be the only app that can do that, but I cannot use those features on iOS. :(

You can. Just set resolution in Moonlight to native does that trick.
Also remember to go to Windows display settings to set display configuration to extended or show only on 2.

Hey guys! I’m currently working on my moonlight-ios fork for Apple devices (I started with visionOS, but I’m adapting it for all platforms) and was thinking about releasing it as a separate product. But recently, I came across Apollo/Artemis and noticed there isn’t a version for these platforms. Right now, I’m using Sunshine with a custom driver for monitors to adapt to client resolutions, but I plan to switch to Apollo soon and would love to support its features in my fork.

This fork got an initial upload on the AppStore but was rejected for later updates due to "too similar to other products"(seriously why it was approved in the first place), so I was thinking about a complete UI refactor for all platforms. This. I've been using ZWM for a good bit now and it's pretty nice. Especially after the most recent Apollo update for dedicated input device. It's funny using my phone as a multitouch screen and guessing where I'm gonna touch when my TV is my main client being streamed to.

The only thing I don't like about this fork is the Testflight 10k limit, and no AppleTV on the roadmap due to the dev only focusing on ipad.

Forks can be opinionated. They only distribute over TestFlight is due to the rejection of AppStore for their further updates.

Is it possible to have complete support for the Apple Pencil? In addition to pressure sensitivity, add in tilt control and potentially the ability to bind right click to something like the pressure sensitive button?

It's possible, but still, too much requests right now and I have to leave room for making my own living.

This is something a full time developer team needs weeks to implement.

Will an iOS app / support mean a macOS client as well? I am currently using the moonlight client for macOS and it works fine, but it would be great to have an official client for macOS. I know that iPadOS apps can run on Mac, would that work?

I would recommend still use the Desktop app. Catalyst isn't meant for performance oriented apps and have poor support for mouse input.

Void link is on appstore and it is amazing, solves most of the issues and works very well. highly recommended

It possible to decrease decode latency i have ipad 11 gen man decoding sometimes goes to 20ms and avrg.around 6-7-8ms

I noticed that Voidlink has been mentioned in this discussion as being available on the App Store with great functionality. Given that it offers numerous features and improvements over the standard Moonlight app and appears to be specifically optimized for iOS and iPadOS, would it be possible to consider making Voidlink the official app for these platforms?

From what users have shared, it seems to address many of the platform-specific needs and provides a more polished experience for Apple device users. Having an officially supported iOS/iPadOS client would be really valuable for the community.

i tried moonlight on ios and tvos and voidlink on ios but can’t pair, getting pin incorrect which isn’t the case.

I do and it works fine with my fire stick and shield. Read same issue on reddit with ios so it seems a broader issue?

they state an older version should pair without issues, i use the most recent apollo and moonlight

Thanks! I believe it will work just fine after pairing but i can’t pair getting “pair succes” on apollo but doesn’t go through on ios (voidlink and moonlight) / apple tv (moonlight)

Try re installing Apollo on pc again and re test. Sounds like a permission issue.

Hi can anyone help me get my voidlink extreme to work?
I use WASD and the arrows to move around mostly in my PC game (trying to setup on IOS). None of my buttons work in the app though.
Im trying to make it like artimis setup in the pic that is attached.
