Anybody else having this bug with the Subbutton alignment?

This happens when I remove the rows line in the .yaml and then switch from "Inline" to "Rows". The number of rows then starts expanding continuously until HA freezes.

Take a look at the video. At the end you can also see the issue with the configuration error as reported in #1960
I'm on 3.1. Beta4

When investigating, please take a look at those grid-options.

When I use

grid_options:
  columns: 6
  rows: "3"

it all seems good for now. I added the " " to the row number. When those are not, things get messed up.

Hi! This is interesting, but indeed my system that detect the number of rows to add when sub-buttons are added don't really like YAML edition. But this shouldn't happen, I will see if I can find a good way to fix that.

Edit: Just checked your video, it is weird that this happening directly when the editor is open, I misunderstood your issue. Even more weird that you get the configuration error right after... But I will definitely try to reproduce this.

One more question, can you check your browser console when this is happening to see if you have any errors? This would help me a lot 🙂

Edit: Since I'm unable to reproduce this issue, could you try this version with the "Without HACS" method? You just need to uninstall it from HACS first. When it's done you should see "v3.1.0-beta.5" in the editor (don't forget to clear the cache).

Hi there, I tried your file, but the issue persists.

Once I remove rows: "3" or just the ""

from

grid_options:
  columns: 6
  rows: "3"

then switching between Group placement "Rows" or "inline" the loop starts as in the video.

EDIT 1:
I think the issue has to do with the RoomCard Module.

EDIT 2:
The issue occurs when RommCard Module is activated and is caused by this line:

      .bubble-sub-button-container {
        margin-bottom: auto;
      }

and when

grid_options:
  rows: "3"

are not present.

Ok, so can you report this issue to this module's developer? I now understand why I wasn’t able to reproduce this one.

This issue was not because of this module but because of me, and this is now fixed in v3.1.0-rc.2 😄
