This does not yet compile for me, don't merge it blindly; I get errors trying to compile the spirit object model.

Hi Chris,

It seems that one of my dummy test cases was inadvertently committed; after removing the test, the build appears to be successful. I'll go ahead and merge this update and remove the test.
