Importing features from the old testing and development server. These features are already available on the hosted version of the backend. Once the backend from the mono repo is hosted, these features are now available on this backend. WARNING: before this backend version goes live, the API endpoints for most of the calls has changed. The frontend will need to be updated. This can be done before this gets merged, or before this backend goes live.
