System Requirements

The processor has the following requirements:

• At least 128MB of free memory (higher if you want a high number of transactions per block).
• CPU requirements completely depend on the amount of transactions per second you want.
• Using the default block mining rate (once per 60 seconds): Up to 120MB per year the blockchain is running for storage (not counting transactions). Half the mining rate (once per 10 seconds) also means half the storage needed.
• For 1 transaction per second: 30GB of storage per year the blockchain is running. Half the transactions per seconds also means half the storage needed. Note that this is a very rough estimate and greatly depends on the smart contracts that are used.
• Node.js 7.6 or higher (Tested up to version 13). (All nodes should run the same version.)
• Postgres 9.5 or higher (Tested up to version 12). (All nodes should run the same version.)
• A succesfully setup database according to the setup script.
• Reading should always occur on an up to date database.
  • If load balancing software is used that cannot guarantee this synchronous_commit should be set to 'remote_apply' or higher and possible select query caching should be turned off.
• No data is lost without the processor being aware of the possibility (through a disconnect).
  • If software is used to reroute open connections (rather then new connections) when one database goes down synchronous_commit should be set to 'on'.
