[Signup Flow] Unable to edit User/Display name during flow after clicking next

Bug description

Pressing "next" after entering the users username/display name then pressing the "back button" on your browser returns the user back to the start of on-boarding, going through the flow again from that point skips the username/display name entry.

Steps to reproduce

1. Click signup
2. Progress until at the username/display name fields
3. Enter username and a display name
4. Click next
5. Click the "back" button in your browser
6. Progress through the signup flow
7. Observe - the username/display name page is skipped

Expected behavior

Users are able to backtrack to a previous page after progressing

Good catch. I just pushed a fix so the user can go back from the optional form to the name/username form, in which case they won't be able to modify them as the username is stored upon profile creation forever for now. See below for what they see:

Maybe later on we can implement the logic to allow the user to modify their username and name on that page when they go back.

Just had a play around with the fix, is there anyway you could have it so that the data is saved/sent to the db after pressing next on the optional info page.

Currently:
It is useful to be able to go back to previous pages but the fact that you cannot change the Username/Display name feels restricting

Yep ideally we should do that, save after optional form instead of in between name/username and optional form. It requires a bit of change in the onboarding however, which is quite critical.

Now users can go back and edit their name and username. If you confirm, can you close the issue?

Users are now able to edit their username/display name by using the back functionality
