Episodic Future Thinking in LLMs: Implementing Mental Time Travel

Create LLM architectures that can perform episodic future thinking - the ability to mentally project oneself into future scenarios. This would give models the ability to 'imagine' and plan based on recombined episodic memories.

Key features:

• Implement hippocampal-inspired episodic memory storage
• Create 'scene construction' mechanisms for future scenarios
• Add self-projection capabilities for first-person simulation
• Test on planning tasks requiring episodic simulation
• Compare with human performance on future thinking tasks
