Pi maps cleanly onto the Connector contract, arguably closer than OpenCode, since Pi extensions run in-process in the real interactive session (no serve/TUI split needed):

• pi.registerTool() → renders the shared cotal_* specs natively
• pi.on("agent_start"/"turn_start" | "agent_end" | "session_shutdown") → presence working/idle/offline; tool-permission hook → waiting
• pi.sendUserMessage(content, { deliverAs }) → the inbound-batch drive loop, with agent_end as the ack signal (direct analog of OpenCode's
  session.promptAsync → session.idle)
• pi.registerCommand("reconnect", …) → the recovery surface

A connector-pi could reuse @cotal-ai/connector-core (MeshAgent, tools, presence, inbox) unchanged and just add the host glue (~150 lines), mirroring connector-opencode.
