Local image file path?

I am trying to display local files in a singleplayer world and have placed them in a "images" folder inside the save folder (the same one as level.dat). However, I'm getting the "No VLC" error when trying to load the file local://images/station_al_airportcentral.jpeg. I have VLC 3.0.21 for macOS Arm64 installed.
Am I doing anything wrong, and/or am I missing anything?

local:// protocol was outdated and not working anymore, use instead watermedia protocols
water://local/<path/to/file.mp4> looking in your case as water://local/images/images/station_al_airportcentral.jpeg

Second, VLC not loading can be almost anything and you must report that to the watermedia repository. not in here, the error picture already told you that

Just ensure you're loading the latest version of watermedia, updating always solves these kind of issues
