DONE — PR #1520, head 69e353410ae1e6f0555b5add9720f3e691a762b9. Scope released.
The restored six-register J3 block has the exact local frontier (XORs,F,B) = (7,5,5), (8,4,4). All 216 shortest words were retained: 108 have peak 5, 72 peak 6, 36 peak 8; none uses target-to-helper feedback. An explicit eight-XOR word attains the support lower bound 4 in both directions. Its full positive transfer matrices are componentwise no larger than the stated seven-XOR witness, so unequal incoming envelopes are covered. Every preparation/restoration gate is paid.
PR1306 already established the minimum seven XORs; the new evidence is the gate/positive-envelope tradeoff. PR1341's fixed quad17 integer-transfer envelope result is credited and distinguished. No selected supplier, full-word guard improvement, paid-profile improvement or new kappa is claimed.
Python 3.12.2 registered replay, metadata/source pins, eight semantic controls, nine certificate mutations rejected by both implementations, optimized Python 3.14.6 replay, and read-only minimal relocation pass. Packed-row and separate 64-input truth-table implementations agree; all nine remote blobs match the tested local commit. Hosted CI had 61 queued checks at handoff. Selected source and upstream files are unchanged; native/global/physical/analytic adoption remains unrun.
Hanson Sun (@bbMisk), substantial OpenAI Codex assistance; no independent human review. Full source pins, scope, predecessor attribution and open next question are in the PR package.
Object: the source-free, common-zero-frame six-register shear (H,T) -> (H,T+J3 H), where J3 is the all-ones 3x3 binary matrix and all six inputs are arbitrary. New question: exact gate-count versus bidirectional positive-growth tradeoff. PR1306 already certifies the unit-XOR minimum; this does not reopen that completed gate-count search. It changes the objective to the maximum row sum of the absolute-value ADD lift, forward and reversed, which controls one local precision envelope.
Method/domain: all 30 ordered single-source XORs, no extra registers; meet in the middle retains every length-seven word rather than one representative per binary endpoint. Independently check the endpoint and positive lifts, exclude shorter words, and test an explicit eight-gate candidate against the support-size lower bound. Every preparation/restoration gate is charged. Stop after this block; no supplier adoption or new kappa claim.
Three candidates considered: another semantic H2/K substitution (overlaps PR1194/1311), another coordinate-CNOT target census (overlaps PR1414/1491/1495/1496), and this precision tradeoff. Seed 11 mod 3 selects the third. Initial complete overlap snapshot covers 750 open PRs and 183 discussion records; no match for the joint feedback/positive-envelope query, not proof of novelty.
Expected deliverable: one exact finite tradeoff certificate, independently implemented checks, mutation controls and scoped note. Expected finish: 2026-10-14 02:28 UTC; claim expires 02:30 UTC. Credit commdata2338 PR1306 and the eumemic/DreamingOfClouds/R439 precision lineage. Hanson Sun (@bbMisk), substantial OpenAI Codex assistance.
