Keyboard Shortcuts

Complete reference for all CyberLauncher keyboard shortcuts.


Global Shortcuts

These work from any application:

Shortcut Action Configurable
Alt+Shift+L Toggle launcher Yes

Navigation

Navigate results within the launcher:

Shortcut Action
↑ / ↓ Navigate results
Enter Launch selected result
Escape Close launcher / clear search
Tab Switch between sections

Search

Shortcut Action
Any typing Focus search and type
Backspace Delete character / clear search
Escape Clear search query

Console Mode

Shortcut Action
> Enter console mode (prefix with >)
Enter Execute command
↑ / ↓ Cycle command history

Window

Shortcut Action
Escape Close launcher
Click outside Close launcher (if hide-on-blur enabled)

Customizing the Global Shortcut

Requirements

  • Must include at least one modifier (Alt, Ctrl, Shift)
  • Cannot conflict with system shortcuts
  • Some combinations may be reserved by other applications

How to Change

  1. Go to Settings β†’ General
  2. Click the shortcut field
  3. Press your desired key combination
  4. Save

Common Alternatives

Shortcut Notes
Alt+Space May conflict with window menu
Ctrl+Space Common alternative
Alt+Shift+L Default, rarely conflicts
Win+C May conflict with Cortana

Per-App Shortcuts

Custom Hotkeys

Assign global shortcuts to specific apps:

  1. Right-click an app β†’ Assign shortcut
  2. Press the key combination
  3. Press the shortcut anytime to launch that app

Use Cases

  • Alt+Shift+C β†’ Chrome
  • Alt+Shift+V β†’ VS Code
  • Alt+Shift+T β†’ Terminal
