This project was developed to introduce students to the engineering behind wind energy. Specifically, it is intended that this activity involve the students designing and building a blade and hub assembly. A completed turbine assembly, minus the blades, would be used as a test stand onto which students would be able to compete to see who's blades generate the greatest amount of voltage.
This wiki was created to provide a complete parts list, turbine assembly guide, and instruction on the operation of the software. This information is broken into the following parts.
- Construction of the Turbine assembly
- Overview of microcontroller source code
- Overview and operation of data acquisition software
