Class 8: Project Show Cases

What you should do before the class

1. Prepare your presentation. Make sure everybody's everything works with gotomeeting.
2. Each group please document the below artifacts and PR to the feature branch.
   1. The PPT
   2. A final report in blog-style in .md format. Name it "recommender_year_month_groupxx.md
   3. Well documented and well-cleaned code.
   4. Contribution list

Class content

1. Presentations: 3 groups, 40 minutes each. 20-30 minutes presentation; 5 minutes question session; 5 minutes panel feedback.
   • I will stop you when time is up. So rehearse and time yourselves.
   • Everybody who wants to get the credit of the group's work needs to present. It is ok to present the part that's not your work.
2. Voting:
   • Each of you will be voting for the top 3 groups.
   • The votes will be transparent in our regular excel.
   • You can't vote for your own group.
   • The group with the highest vote will be the winning group, who will receive a dedicated coaching session.
   • If there is a tie for the first place, the winning group will be randomly selected among the top 1s.

Rubrics

1. Clearly stated business goal and value. (you can come up with this. not predefined by me)
2. Clear yet succinct walkthrough of methodology and techniques. Including data treatment, modeling, and evaluation.
3. />1 meaningful results and >2 discussion points
4. Rational next steps
5. Coherent tie-back the results and next step to the business goal and value.
