This release exists only as an anonymous usage counter. Doom's Enhancement Suite fetches the 1-byte 'ping' asset at most once per day per browser (no payload, no identifiers — see src/core/usagePing.js). The public download_count of the asset, read day over day, is the daily active user estimate. Opt out any time: DES Settings → Advanced → Anonymous usage ping.
