Disable Biometrics Linux (Ubuntu)

Hey y'all I accidentally ran

dcli configure user-presence --method biometrics

when setting up the Dashlane CLI on my Ubuntu laptop and now I can't disable it.

I get this error anytime I try to run a command that requires authentication.

error: User presence verification failed: Biometrics are only supported on macos for now.

I've tried disabling user-presence with

dcli configure user-presence --method none

but that hasn't fixed it. I've also tried logging out, deleting the Dashlane secret from my keyring, removing and reinstalling dcli, and restarting my machine.

Wondering if this setting is persisting in a configuration file somewhere because even after I reinstall the tool/logout it still pops up with the error. Tried a different version of dcli and same issue.

We can't let you deactivate biometric check without a biometric check for sure.
So the nominal scenario should be to logout, reset the setting and login again in your case.
We will have a look to provide you a quick workaround shortly.
