First public alpha of OpenFall, an autosaving digital journal and odd-ball file examiner where your documents are leaves.
What works
- Autosave to disk; leaves persist across restarts and self-name from their first words
- Code and hex examiner with syntax highlighting
- Search results as a Terminal console or a vertical List tree
- Other View split, plus Separate View and Join View across windows
- Sandboxed web Quick Search leaf, kept separate from in-app search
- Dark, Light, and System themes (dark by default)
Downloads
- OpenFall Setup 0.1.0.exe: Windows installer (NSIS)
- OpenFall 0.1.0.exe: Windows portable, just run it, no install
- OpenFall-0.1.0-portable.html: one self-contained file, runs offline in any modern browser
Notes
- Builds are unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may warn; choose "More info" then "Run anyway".
- Linux: tar.gz builds from source on any OS; AppImage and .deb need a Linux host (see the README).
- Early alpha. Expect rough edges, and please file issues.
