As discussed in <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BLLS3Mlsi4YGvYOqJNWdL1swxMvyYMUk-m1G3XLdRNo/edit?disco=AAAALvHP2WU> this is a prototype of how we could provide a nicer behavior for authentication configuration without needing to touch the automatically-generated API clients.
