Online Editor crashes when adding Input or Output Port

The Online Editor freezes when using the creation tool for ports when hovering around or at another existing port. In the code, it seems to indefinitely determine the root element

Reproduction Steps

1. Open a diagram (default diagram works here too)
2. Select the input or output port creation tool
3. Hover around an existing element in the diagram
4. When the tool snaps to an existing port, the editor freezes
