NAMO v0.6.0 is the largest update to the project so far.

This release expands NAMO from a standalone presence sensor into a local multi-device spatial sensing platform. It introduces secure device pairing, shared floorplans, coordinate calibration, distributed role recovery, multi-radar fusion, signed firmware updates, manual floorplan drawing, and Home Assistant integration.

Upgrade Instructions

Upgrading from v0.5.5 or Earlier

Install the following image once:

namo-v0.6.0-legacy-ota.bin

This unsigned image exists only to migrate older firmware that does not understand signed .namo-ota packages.

After upgrading to v0.6.0, use signed .namo-ota packages for all future updates.

Normal OTA Update

Use:

namo-v0.6.0-ota.namo-ota

This is the signed Release OTA package.

Initial Installation or Recovery

Use:

namo-v0.6.0-factory.bin

Flash this image through USB for a new device or recovery installation.

Important Notes

• Back up the device configuration before upgrading.
• Never expose a NAMO device directly to the public Internet.
• Multi-device installations use a shared canonical floorplan and Site configuration.
• Shared floorplan changes must be performed through the Configuration Owner.
• The new dual-sensor enclosure uses a different locking interface from the legacy enclosure.

The complete five-device, single-Fusion-Group workflow has been physically tested, including:
