Feature Request - Adding an Eraser Tool to the Masking Interface #340

@igorhero76-dev This would be an excellent feature! Fooocus Inpainting has always outstanding but the inability to erase has always been frustrating. I have a feeling that the Gradio 3.43.2 user interface (UI) that we currently use cannot do it, and even though there were many requests in the original Fooocus Github discussion section it never happened. I have been upgrading to Gradio 5.5. It has a new painting interface and I have a feeling that erasure will be supported there. The process has been taking months because most of the UI has to be rewritten. It will be some months more before that process will be complete. But likely we will finally have Inpainting erasure on the Fooocus based platform after that. I am transferring this discussion to the Feature Request section so that it does not get lost. See #341 |

Hello,
First of all, thank you for the amazing work on Fooocus Plus. The workflow is already quite smooth, but I'd like to suggest a feature that would significantly improve the precision of the Inpaint/Outpaint process: an Eraser tool for mask creation.
Currently, when using automatic mask generation models (like isnet-general-use), the selection can sometimes be too broad, especially when subjects are close to each other.
To illustrate the need, here is a practical scenario:
-Adding a simple toggle between a Brush (to add to the mask) and an Eraser (to remove parts of it) would give users professional-level control directly within the Fooocus Plus interface.
What do you think about adding this to the roadmap?
Best regards,
