URGENT! Course materials access issues: "Deep Learning Crash Course: A Hands-On, Project-Based Introduction to Artificial Intelligence"

Hello,

I've adopted the text, Deep Learning Crash Course: A Hands-On, Project-Based Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, for a summer course I'm teaching, beginning on June 8, 2026.

Until today, I was able to access the .ipynb notebooks, as well as the data. I still see he GitHub repository and notebook folders, as well as the .ipynb notebooks within the folders; however, the auxiliary files (*.csv and *.py) are either inaccessible (ie., I receive errors) or are missing entirely.

I have checked the repository, but so far I have not been able to reproduce the problem on my side. The notebook folders and auxiliary files appear to be accessible from here.

Could you please provide specific examples of files that are failing, together with the exact error message you receive? It would also be helpful to know whether you are accessing the files directly from GitHub, through Google Colab, or after downloading/cloning the repository locally.

We have also contacted you by email, so feel free to continue the conversation there if that is easier. @giovannivolpe and I would also be happy to arrange a call to help resolve the issue if needed.

Thank you so much for your quick reply (including your email reply).

I appreciate your letting me know that you have not been able to reproduce the problem on your side. It may be something on my end. In answer to your question, I receive the following error when I attempt to access the .ipynb notebooks:

In the case of auxiliary files (*.csv and *.py), these are either inaccessible (ie., I receive errors) or are missing entirely.

On a positive note, I downloaded the ZIP file (from the repository) onto my local storage, extracted everything, and then copied onto my Google Drive. I am able to access (and run) the .ipynb notebooks, as well as access the auxiliary files. I shall instruct my students to consider doing the same (in the event that they experience issues similar to the ones in the Github repository).

The interesting thing is that I was able to access everything without errors, etc., until yesterday (Saturday).

In any case, setting up manually from GitHub works perfectly fine.

I appreciate your and @giovannivolpe willingness to help. On a different note, the "Deep Learning Crash Course" is excellent! Thanks to all coauthors for writing such an outstanding textbook (also great for self-study).

If I encounter any additional issues, I'll be sure to post here and/or send email.
