When a new session is created, all current sessions are removed as well as a preshared_key for the devicd. Since create_new_mfa_session was called after setting the preshared key in mfa flow, this resulted in empty preshared_key and broken vpn connection whenever a device reconnected using mfa while it's old session was still active.

@j-chmielewski j-chmielewski changed the title fix(mfa): don't remove preshared key when creating new session fix(mfa): preserve preshared key when creating new session Feb 5, 2026
