Why PluginType can't be a struct?

PluginType must represent a type in which it is instantiable and can implement the contract.

It is true that a struct is instantiable and can also implement interfaces.
Although one would think that the benefit would be that it avoids fewer allocations/deallocations by the garbage collector.
However, this is not true, because the struct (value type) must be converted to an interface (reference type), so the instance will be on the heap and will not reduce any overhead for the garbage collector.

I prefer the consumer to use only classes to implement the contract (either an abstract class or an interface). There is no need to use structs for this situation. Thus, a standard approach is maintained.
