Summary

Finalize and stabilize the linting and formatting setup for the frontend application.

This PR completes the migration to ESLint Flat Config and ensures a reliable linting workflow in a monorepo setup, replacing the unstable next lint wrapper with direct ESLint usage.

Motivation

The default next lint command caused issues in the current monorepo + App Router + ESLint Flat Config setup, incorrectly resolving the project directory and blocking CI usage.

To ensure predictable and production-ready linting, this PR standardizes on direct ESLint CLI usage.

Scope

  • Finalize ESLint Flat Config for the frontend app
  • Replace next lint with direct eslint CLI usage
  • Add stable auto-fix workflow via eslint . --fix
  • Integrate Prettier with Tailwind CSS class sorting
  • Enable consistent format-on-save behavior in VS Code
  • Ensure monorepo-safe linting (frontend only)

Expected Impact

  • Stable linting in local, CI, and Vercel environments
  • Automatic import sorting and code fixes
  • Correct Tailwind CSS class ordering across the codebase
  • Cleaner diffs and improved DX for the team
  • No impact on runtime or business logic

Out of Scope

  • Feature development
  • Runtime behavior changes
  • Sanity Studio linting configuration
  • CI pipeline changes (handled separately)

How to test

cd frontend
npm run format
npm run lint

VS Code - must have

  • ✅ ESLint
  • ✅ Prettier
  • ✅ Tailwind CSS IntelliSense
