As a person who owns an automobile, I know it needs maintenance. There are systems of my vehicle that require fluids exchanged, filters checked, joints checked and greased, brakes reviewed or replaced, batteries inspected. I just don't know when these things need to happen or how much they cost. I would certainly love a chance to save money and be rewarded for loyalty.
As a automotive tech I understand todays automobile but need to keep up with the ever changing market. New features, new tools, new methods and policies. I would excel if I were certified because I would understand the automotive landscape better as well as valued for my expertise.
As a service advisor I know what your car needs and requires. I know that you depend on your vehicle and need it to be safe for the road ahead. You need to head off those expensive repairs. You need someone who can explain those complicated issues. I just need a way to communicate or socialize with my valued customers.

I need to ensure my service advisors are equipped to provide the best service for our customers. I need to track tickets, manage inventory and employees as well as protect service history for my customers, from start to finish.
This application is designed for the small automotive shop or franchise. Built in Rails 8 it is intended to run as a web application. With Rails 8 it can be easily hosted in a cloud environment or on on-premises hardware. Designed and built to handle all of the above concerns from the various points of view.
As a customer you want an mobile application that shows you your vehicle status at a glance. You want to be appreciated for your loyalty. You want to get notified when there are sales, when services are due, and get automatic discounts. You want to make appointments and receive VIP status or services. You want to be tied into the shop so they know you and your vehicle on a personal level. You want a shop that knows your window switch has not worked or that your check engine light is on and gives an estimate on repairing it as well as an explanation or what's wrong.
As a customer you can create a virtual garage and review your vehicles maintenance needs. Upon completing services at the shop you are registered and can review your garage for free.
