In This Release

OPL Studio v2.2.0 adds new improvements for MIDI CC mapping, live sequence playing and auto saving features.

New Features

  • The Synthesizer Setup has been enhanced with MIDI CC mapping support. You can now map your MIDI controls to OPL Studio synthesizer controls, for example to change OPL parameters on the fly
  • MIDI CC mapper can read the control index from the MIDI device for simpler setup
  • Patch parameters in the Patch Editor can be changed by MIDI controls
  • Synthesizer Setup UI updated
  • Auto saving of your current OPL Studio session. If an SD card is present the OPL Studio can now auto save your session to prevent loosing any work when you power off the device. This feature is enabled by default, but it can be disables in the OPL Studio settings
  • The Quad Sequencer has had a big overhaul and is now changed to the Live Sequencer. You now have 2 banks of 6 sequence slots to play with and thanks to the bank switching ability you can do a little DJ-ing with your sequences

Bug fixes

  • Quad Sequencer / Live Sequencer was playing all sequences double
  • Stuck notes at the end of a sequence were fixed
  • Sequences were ignoring patch linking
