There are two issues visible here:

1. Shell compatibility error ([[: not found)

You ran the install script with sh, but the script uses bash-specific syntax ([[ with regex). On Debian, sh is typically dash (a POSIX shell) which doesn't support [[. This caused the error at line 270 [1]. Use bash instead:

curl -sSL https://dokploy.com/install.sh | bash

2. Dokploy service failing to start (exit code 1)

To see the actual error causing the container to crash, run:

docker service logs dokploy --no-trunc

or

docker service ps lui6t3zm7bof9fkt16z1z6ac2 --no-trunc

The --no-trunc flag will show the full error message instead of the truncated "task: non-zero exit (1): dock…".

Additionally, your system name (7029) and the Debian 13 kernel suggest you might be running inside a Proxmox LXC container. If so, this is a common environment where Docker Swarm has permission issues. A previous user with the same stuck installation in LXC fixed it by setting an unconfined AppArmor profile on the Proxmox host [2]:

I'd recommend first re-running with bash, and if it still fails, checking the full logs with --no-trunc to identify the exact startup error.

btw, i also saw that shell script error, even on ubuntu 24.04 with bash shell, but installation still succeeded..

Same issue trying to install with curl -sSL https://dokploy.com/install.sh | bash on a Debian 13.5.

Installation never stop. After a ctrl+c:

one thing to note when the secret is echoed by the script, echo adds a /n to the end which gets added to the secret

so it becomes password/n

now its possible either postgres or dokploy differ when reading this file back in, postgres would include the /n as part of the password but dokploy runs trim

so the secrets differ

i assume

would be sufficient to fix the difference from install
once running, you would need to change the db password in postgres, then stop the containers, remove the secret and reset the secret to the new password
