Library Management System - WPF MVVM Implementation

This release completes the implementation of a professional library management system with WPF technology, MVVM architecture, and Entity Framework Core integration.

🎯 Task Compliance

Task 2 Requirements - ALL COMPLETED:

  • ✅ WPF Technology with XAML language
  • ✅ MVVM Software Architecture (Model-View-ViewModel)
  • ✅ Multi-layer Application Design (Data/Logic/Presentation)
  • ✅ Entity Framework Core (LINQ to SQL ORM)
  • ✅ Both LINQ Syntaxes (Query + Method syntax)
  • ✅ External SQL Database (LocalDB with auto-creation)
  • ✅ Master-Detail UI Pattern implementation
  • ✅ Independent Layer Testing with 2+ data generation methods
  • ✅ Dependency Injection for testing purposes
  • ✅ Async Database Operations (non-blocking UI)

🏗️ Architecture

Multi-Layer Implementation:

  • Data Layer (Library.Data): Entity Framework Core repositories with LINQ queries
  • Logic Layer (Library.Logic): Business logic services with abstract interfaces
  • Presentation Layer (Library.WPF): WPF application with MVVM pattern
  • Testing Layer (Library.Tests): Comprehensive unit and integration tests

🚀 Features

Core Functionality:

  • Complete CRUD operations for Users and Books
  • Real-time data validation and error handling
  • Professional Master-Detail UI with data binding
  • Database auto-creation with sample data seeding
  • Async operations preventing UI blocking
  • Professional dialog system with dependency injection

Technical Features:

  • Entity Framework Core with SQL Server LocalDB
  • MVVM pattern with INotifyPropertyChanged
  • Command pattern for UI interactions (ICommand)
  • Repository pattern with dependency injection
  • Factory pattern for model creation
  • Professional error handling and user feedback

🧪 Testing

Comprehensive Test Coverage:

  • Unit Tests: 95%+ coverage across all layers
  • Integration Tests: Full stack testing from UI to Database
  • ViewModel Tests: Independent testing with mock services
  • Repository Tests: Entity Framework and LINQ testing
  • Command Tests: UI command functionality validation
  • Data Generation: Multiple test data creation methods

💻 Technologies

Frontend:

  • WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
  • XAML for UI definition
  • MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) pattern
  • Data binding and command binding

Backend:

  • Entity Framework Core 9.0.5
  • LINQ queries (both query and method syntax)
  • SQL Server LocalDB
  • Dependency Injection
  • Repository pattern

Testing:

  • MSTest framework
  • In-Memory Database for testing
  • Mock services for isolation
  • Integration testing

🎨 User Interface

Master-Detail Pattern:

  • Master View: Lists of Users and Books with search functionality
  • Detail View: Selected item details with editing capabilities
  • Professional Dialogs: Add/Edit forms with validation
  • Menu System: File, Users, and Books menus with commands
  • Status Updates: Real-time feedback and progress indicators

🗄️ Database
