Given that the original feature request seems to be for Android.

The native player for Android supports both HDR and Dolby Vision so long as your device allows it. Not sure you would need a external player for that.

My Lenovo tablet struggles with some SDR HD content.

In mpv, the video lags badly. In MDK, playback is strange—it feels both smooth and stuttery at the same time, and the app eventually crashes. The native player doesn't play the video at all.

The only setup that works reliably is using the Jellyfin app with MX Player as the external player. Playback is smooth and has no issues. However, I prefer your app, and I'm already using it on my Android phone.

My tablet is a Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus.
