You're right that it's unusable as it stands, and I'm sorry — but there's good news: the window can already be widened, and it remembers the size. You just can't see where to grab it, which is our fault rather than yours. Two things that work right now, today:
Between those two, you should be able to read the full ability names in the next minute rather than waiting on a release. But the real bug is yours, not the workaround. A window you can resize but cannot tell you can resize is the same as one you can't — and "no way to widen it" is exactly the right description of the experience, even though the capability is sitting there. That's the thing we'll fix: making the edge findable, so nobody else has to be told. I'd rather do that properly than guess, so it would help to know:
A screenshot would settle all three at once, if you don't mind. One more thought while I'm here: the names are shortened with an ellipsis rather than wrapped, on purpose, so a long name never pushes the numbers off the row — but there's no reason a truncated name shouldn't show the full text when you hover it. That's worth adding regardless of the width question. |

That screenshot answers all three questions and turns up a fourth thing I didn't expect. Thank you — this is more useful than the original report, and the original report was already right. Taking them in order: 1. Some names are literally 2. Drag only works on the bottom edge. That's a real defect and I had it wrong — I told you to grab any edge or corner. On these borderless windows the resize region evidently only exists along the bottom, so "no way to widen it" was literally true and my workaround was only half a workaround. Sorry for sending you after something that isn't there. 3. Ctrl+wheel scales the whole window rather than just the text. Also correct, and also not what I described. It's a zoom, not a font-size control, so it makes the panel bigger along with the names and buys you nothing on a width problem. So the honest summary is: you were right that there is no usable way to widen the damage-by-ability breakout, and two of the three things I offered you don't do what I said they did. What that means for the fix, and I'd rather commit to this than to a workaround:
One question that would help with the first one, if you're willing: do you have a log from that session? A few of the actual combat lines that produced the |

I got the main diagnosis wrong, and your screenshot is what proves it. All three items are fixed in v1.91.0, but the correction matters more than the fix, so it goes first. The rows reading Look at your own screenshot again. Three rows from the top: and then, further down the same list: "Damage shield" prints in full. The rows above it print one dot, two dots, and nothing. The difference between them is not the name — it is the length of the stat line beside it. That column took as much width as it wanted, and the name column got whatever was left over. On a row carrying crit and miss and resist, what was left over was a few pixels, and all that fitted was part of the ellipsis. So "no way to widen the window" was not just about the window. The rows were being starved from the inside, and widening would only have moved the point at which it happened. What changed: the name and the stat line both flex now, and the name gets the larger share. A row's name is what it is; the numbers beside it are a remark about it, and when something has to give, that is the thing that gives. The headline total on the right never moves. On the other two, one of which I also had wrong:
That is two of my three answers to you corrected by one screenshot. Thank you for sending it — the original report was right, and the picture was righter. |

Uh oh!

I can't read the names of any of the abilities in the combat breakdown because they are all truncated after a few letters and there is no way to widen the window
