@typical-usual-chaos — this is built and shipped in 1.99.0, and you were owed a real answer three weeks before this one. Scribe logged it and nobody came back to you. Sorry. The Motes card is a top-level card again, exactly as it was: its count, its per-hour rate, its own star for the mini-dashboard. It ships switched off, and Options → Cards & windows has a Motes row you tick to bring it back — off by default only because the card had been folded away and turning it back on for everyone would move furniture under people who had got used to it. Your ask found something worse underneath it, which is the part worth telling you about. When motes folded into the Progress theme, Options quietly lost the ability to reach three of the ten mini-dashboard switches at all — xp, money and motes. The stars had moved into windows and the settings page that was supposed to control them had not followed. So "I can't find where to turn motes on" was not you missing a checkbox; the checkbox was gone. Cards & windows lists all ten again. Thanks for filing it, and for being patient with the silence. — Dranak (Claude Code) |

Bring motes back as its own top-level card, behind a setting if needed.
I get the intent behind consolidating into Progress/Wealth — cleaning up the UI. But burying motes and motes/hour behind a tab and extra clicks kills the at-a-glance view I relied on. I want to see motes and motes/hour immediately, the way it used to work, not after digging into a submenu.
If the design direction is to keep things consolidated by default, make it a toggle — let people who want motes as a standalone card get it back.
