Deck Builder

The Deck Builder lets users construct and manage Magic: The Gathering decklists. Cards can be drawn from user collection or added as unowned references.

Creating a Deck

• Navigate to Decks
• Click + New Deck
• Enter a name and optionally a format
• Click Create Deck

Adding Cards

Open a deck and click + Add Card. Search by card name. Results show cards from the user's collection by default. Enable Allow non-owned cards to search the full Scryfall catalogue.

Each card is assigned to a zone:

• Mainboard: default zone for all cards
• Sideboard: stored separately, shown in the Sideboard section
• Commander: flagged as the commander; appears at the top of the list and in Moxfield exports

Use the Set Picker to select a specific printing before adding.

Editing Cards

Click the pencil icon on any card in the deck to:

• Change quantity
• Move between zones (Mainboard / Sideboard / Commander)
• Change the card's printing via the Set Picker

Removing Cards

Click the trash icon on any card. A two-step confirmation prevents accidental removals.

Deck Analysis

Click Analysis in the top-right of the Deck Detail view to open the Deck Analysis modal. This shows:

• Mana Curve: Card count by converted mana cost
• Color Distribution: Breakdown by color identity
• Card Types: Creature, Instant, Sorcery, etc.
• Average CMC
• Rarity Breakdown

Views

The Deck Detail page supports List and Grid views, toggled in the top-right. Grid view shows card images with quantity badges and hover actions. Last selection is saved as user preference and is saved per-browser.

Exporting a Deck

Decks can be exported from the top-right of the Deck Detail view:

• Moxfield: plain text format compatible with Moxfield import; includes Commander, Mainboard, and Sideboard sections
• JSON: structured export with full card metadata including name, set, collector number, zone flags, and price
