This pull request, automatically generated by Snyk, aims to improve security by upgrading the Alpine base image from 3.7 to 3.21.5. While this is a valuable security update, the proposed version of Alpine Linux no longer supports Python 2, which is a dependency for this Docker image. This will cause the build to fail. I've left a critical comment with a suggestion for an intermediate upgrade that will not break the build, and I've also outlined the necessary steps to fully support the latest Alpine version by migrating to Python 3.

This upgrade to alpine:3.21.5 will cause the Docker build to fail. The python2 package and its related development packages (python2-dev, py-setuptools), which are listed as dependencies in this Dockerfile, are not available in Alpine Linux versions newer than 3.15. Python 2 has reached its end of life and has been removed from the official repositories.
To resolve this, the ssd.py script needs to be migrated to Python 3, and the Dockerfile dependencies updated accordingly to use python3.
As an interim solution that still provides a significant security improvement over alpine:3.7 without breaking the build, you could use alpine:3.15, which is the last version that includes python2. However, the recommended long-term solution is to migrate to Python 3.
