Brute Force

A brute force test simply loops through all possible permutations of passwords until either the password is confirmed(by ftp login or password comparison) or all possible permutations are exhausted(meaning that the password doesn't exist, uses unknown characters, or is too long)

Dictionary

A dictionary test is very similar to a brute force test. We begin with the first password listed in our words file, and loop through all of them, going through the same confirmation process as the brute force. This test stops when all passwords are exhausted, or we have a confirmation.
