Notifications

Every user will receive email notification for:

• New articles;
• Certain updates (such as new comments) for subscribed articles.

Workflow to publish new article

1. Create new Article (under Content Manager).

2. Edit mandatory fields:

   • Title: Use English title;
   • Origin: Select your magazine in drop-down list;
   • Language: Original language;
   • URL: URL of original publication;
   • Excerpt: Short English abstract of the publication (note: this is the main teaser for others to share!);
   • Images: Add at least one image, typically the feature image of the publication.

3. Publish the article.

   • Note: You may want to keep the article as draft as long as needed.

4. Be ready for sharing requests:

   • Never unsubscribe your own article;
   • If others comment on the article (to ask questions etc.), be responsive;
   • If somebody creates a Translation Request, be proactive (propose translator etc.);
   • Share raw material to publication as an URL in the Article Data field (e.g., a link to a Google Drive Folder).

Workflow to share an article

1. Check new articles.

   • Note: You'll be notified.

2. To share an article and you don't need a translation:

   • Notify author via new comment;
   • Use comments to ask the author to provide all necessary article data (via Article Data field);
   • Once published, add new publication URL under URLs;

3. To share an article and you need a translation:

   • Create new Translation Request and in it
     • Select the article subject to translation;
     • Specify target language (the one you're creating a a translation request for);
     • Set open status of the new translation;
   • Notify author via new comment (in the article);
   • Discuss and arrange a good translator and decide who will be responsible for managing the translation process;
   • Use comments to ask the author to provide all necessary article data (via Article Data field);
   • Once the translation is done:
     • Share the translation as an URL under Translation Data (in the translation request);
     • Update done status of the new translation;
   • Once published, add new publication URL under URLs;
