I'm an IT Architect from the Netherlands. My background is in hands-on infrastructure engineering, mostly around on-prem environments, networking, storage, compute, VMware, Kubernetes, OpenStack and backup/disaster recovery.
Over the last few years I moved more into cloud, mainly Microsoft Azure. Today I work mostly with Azure, hybrid cloud, Microsoft security, identity and access.
I also enjoy Infrastructure as Code, mainly using Terraform. I like using automation to make infrastructure more consistent, repeatable and easier to manage.
I like architecture that is practical. Not just nice diagrams, but solutions that can actually be built, managed, secured and supported.
