Writing a Cloudify Plugin

EarthmanT edited this page Dec 16, 2014 · 6 revisions

Writing a Cloudify Plugin is simple, if you know where to start. There is a lot of informative documentation on getcloudify.org, and elsewhere, but let's say you just want to write, where do you start?

Here.

First thing to do is clone thePlugin Template.

You can edit the setup.py to your name, plugin name, etc.

First though, you should edit the plugin.yaml file:

( plugins: your-cloudify-plugin-name executor: see-below source: https://github.com/your-git-accout/your-cloudify-plugin-name/archive/master.zip )

Right of "executor: ", you need to put either host_agent or central_deployment_agent.

host_agent refers to if the plugin will run on a machine other than the manager. central_deployment_agent means the plugin runs on the manager.
