Dactyloidae is a hard fork of Eclipse Hydra.
Dactyloidae hosts further development based on the Eclipse, roytam1, Moonchild Productions and Mozilla upstream code, this repository has its own development as well. We also upstream applicable patches from our development to all above people/groups we fork from.
Some advantages over Eclipse Hydra, roytam1's Serpent, Pale Moon/Basilisk and upstream Mozilla are:
- More optimizations
- Better interoperability with upstream. (using SQL storage instead of DBM)
- More modern theme
- Better e10s support
- Better adherence to web standards
- WebExtensions support comparable to Firefox ESR 78/Mypal 68 latest
- Literally being the fastest XUL browser (33.7 in Speedometer 2.1 compared to 22.4 in Pale Moon 34.1 AVX2)
If I've forgotten to put your name here, please let me know and I'll add it.
